Love and Acceptance

I look inside
trying to find a problem
and I discover there is none.
How refreshing!
The things that disturbed me before
were simply unquestioned beliefs,
ideas about how this moment should be
how life should be
how people should be
how I should be.
And then I learned
that when I argue with reality
I lose,
but only 100% of the time.
So my job has become
opening to this moment
and loving it as it is.
All problems disappear
as I live from this place
of love and acceptance.

  1. Just what I needed to read as I deal with an over tired toddler who was once again woken from his nap too early and is having trouble adjusting to sharing my time and attention with his two week old brother! Thank you for writing your truth everyday!

    • Oh Amelia, I feel for you! Dear lord, what a trying time that can be. And they simply don’t understand when you need one moment of quiet…seriously, moms are superhuman in their ability to sustain some semblance of normalcy when they are so tired and overwhelmed by their responsibilities. I’m glad my words helped you in some way. Just know that you’re not alone. I send you big hugs from over here in Maryland!
