Between The Couch And Infinite Possibility

Standard

It’s ok for me to feel sleepy

and too tired

to get up

from the couch

It’s ok for me to dream

and feel uplifted

and excited

about what’s next.

Somewhere between the couch

and infinite possibility

there is my divine purpose,

my ultimate destiny.

There is some work to be done.

May I do it cheerfully.

  1. I absolutely love the phrase, “Somewhere between the couch and infinite possibility there is my divine purpose…” It reminds me a lot of “after the ecstasy, the laundry…” that perpetual movement between the transcendent and the mundane (though I suppose they both exist inside each other as well?)

    • Yay! Now you’re talkin’! Yes, that has been my delightful discovery, that it’s all always happening, all at the same time, everywhere. And yes, someone has to do the laundry, because otherwise, yuck!
