Dedication

Standard

I believe in the way of love.
I follow my inner guidance
in the direction of my most
authentic expression.
I believe in health and goodness and light.
I know forgiveness
and am liberated in this moment,
a spokesperson for possibility
in a mind at home with itself.
Thank you Life
for giving me this chance
at self-realization.
Thank you for guiding me
to reach my fullest potential
for the benefit of all beings,
forever.

You Are Worth It

Standard

Be available to joy.
Make yourself ready for pleasure.
Stay open to possibility.
Search for evidence that you are loved.
Prepare yourself for unimaginable delight.
Trust that this moment is good
and life is beautiful
and you are wanted.
Stand in complete appreciation
of the majesty of existence.
Get ready for endless laughter
and waves of bliss.
You are worth it.

NaPoWriMo 2018, Day 11: I Love Life

Standard

Today’s NaPoWriMo prompt instructs us to write “a poem that addresses the future, answering the questions ‘What does y(our) future provide? What is your future state of mind? If you are a citizen of the “union” that is your body, what is your future “state of the union” address?’”

It’s strange to contemplate the future
because it doesn’t exist,
and whatever states of being I imagine in it,
when I call them forth,
it will be in this moment now.
But as I visualize my future, this is what I see:
I am happy, healthy, radiant with well-being.
I am in a soul-fulfilling partnership
with a man who loves every fiber of my being.
I do work that is deeply gratifying and pays me well,
and I’m living as my most authentic self,
serving the planet in a big way.
I travel to beautiful places,
bringing my children with me,
that they too might experience the majesty of nature.
I express my creative talents and abilities
in profoundly satisfying ways.
I am nourished in all aspects of my being.
I awaken every day grateful for this life I’ve been given.
I continue to meditate and write every day,
and I spend time in nature
because nature is where I feel most aligned
with the Great Spirit of All Things.
I live in gratitude, cherishing every moment.
I give and receive love with my whole heart.
I breathe deeply and slowly in each moment,
and I sing the praises of the One
who brought me here.
I love life.

A Few Realizations

Standard

I realized that
the kids and I are happier without him.
I realized that I’m glad to see him go
and be with another.
I realized I’m grateful to her;
she helped to set me free.
I’m grateful to him; I forgive him.
and the whole Universe
is behind me
and with me
and ahead of me
and below me
and above me
and all around me
and inside me.
I realized that
ALL IS WELL.

Divine Unfolding

Standard

So much good in this life
but how open am I to recognizing it?
Ah, this is the difference
between poverty and abundance.
Truly I am deeply blessed,
but my thinking will determine
whether I see those blessings or not.
And, everything is a blessing.
The things we think happen to us
actually happen for us.
We get to grow,
to be awake,
to evolve.
We get to love and live
and realize our dreams,
for we are the creators
of the world we see
and perception reigns supreme.
Let your inner queen
or your inner king
be good, just, and kind.
You are enveloped in grace,
divinely guided and led.
Take a deep breath and relax.
trust in this divine unfolding.

Feeling Grateful

Standard

It was a good day today.
I found my pen,
I had time to write in
all the colors of the rainbow
and to behold the result.
Just looking at all those colors
made me feel happy and light.
I had time to be in quiet
in the sacred space of my heart.
I had time to go to the chiropractor,
time to go to the grocery store,
time to procure watercolor paper
and metallic calligraphy pens
from the art store.
I took the time to recognize
how incredibly blessed I am
just to be here.
In just a little while
I’ll leave to go to a dance class.
I’ll move my body
and feel the bliss of connection
with other dancers,
the energy we create
as we move and breathe together.
Ah, thank you.
Thank you Life.
Thank you.

Hallelujah Every Day

Standard

And then it hit me,
My needs have always been met.
This is the truth.
How would I stand here before you
if my needs had not been met?
I am alive,
so obviously some key needs were met.
Any thought attempting to prove the contrary
is a sad story…and do I want to keep this story?
Or is it time for a new interpretation,
some blessedly new content?
It’s time to practice contentedness,
just see what’s working.
You will have plenty of reasons
to shout Hallelujah
from dawn until dusk
each and every day.
Life is good, after all.
