Stay With Me

Standard

Just when you think you’ve had enough,
stop. Take a deep breath.
When you want to leave,
when you want to blow your top,
when you want to shake and scream,
stop. Take a deep breath.
Stay with me.
Take my hand.
We can do this.
You are not alone.
We need you here, with us.
Stay with me.
Stay with me.
Stay with me.

A Life Well-Lived

Standard

There are always reasons to be grateful;
search for them if they’re not obvious.
It will always be worth your effort
to search for reasons to be grateful
rather than dwelling on reasons to complain.
It may sound simple,
but sometimes the simplest truths
are the most challenging to apply in real life.
Dedicate your life to living this truth.
It will be a life well-lived.

Truly Living

Standard

The actual experience of the present moment
is always so much richer and deeper
than any thought projection I could have
about the present moment.
May I develop the strength to stay present.
May I awaken fully to what is.
No longer grasping for a fixed identity
but letting life flow through me–
this is truly living.

Living Well

Standard

Working on giving myself more time
to grow, to change, and to evolve…
searching for the humor in the challenges
as I cultivate patience for this being that I am,
looking self-doubt straight in the eye
and asking, “Why?”
Taking deep breaths
giving thanks,
appreciating the little things
that end up being the most important things
in this one precious human life.
Smiling softly as I catch myself
making my human mistakes,
trying again.
If I can live each day
striving to act from my most empowered self,
it will be a life well-lived.
And this living well
isn’t something to be deferred.
It happens now, each moment, each breath.
